Alamgir completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Sahibganj College in 1974. He is an Indian National Congress political Leader. He has been interested in politics since his college life.
When he was studying at Sahibganji College He joined the student union. After that, he contested Maharajpur Nagar panchayat in the position of chairman and He won that election in 2000.
